5 out of 5 stars Great for a droid army!   January 21, 2007

This wave of Episode III sets is definetely better then the first. I pickep this upat Target today along with a General Grievous Starfighter and a Droid Battle Pack, all of which have been great.

This setcomes with 7 droids, 3 super battle droids and 4 battle droids. The Super Battle Droids are slightly delicate. The joints on the arms are too small, and widen when you place them on the body. I would definetely be careful with these, the joins can get loose easily, the ones I got with my Episode II republic gunship actually broke. The standard Battle Droids are what you would expect. No real weak or strong points there.

Along with this you also get a speeder and droid transport hovercraft that easily fits 5 droids and a pilot. The speeder is nothing special. it's a little flimsy, but nothing that can't be but right back on in the rare occasion that something actually does fall off. The cruiser is just how it looks on the box, fitting a pilot, 5 droids, and two small blasters.

This set is truly worth the $10 you spend on it. You get 7 droids, a speeder and a transport hovercraft-type thing that is truly great for anyone building their own droid army. If you see a few of these in a store be sure to pick em up.

[...] This is a great set, [...] Although the droid carrier was never actually in any of the films, (not this model, at least,) the LEGO people had it put in this set. ???. The set is durable, and I'm glad that it has an assortment of brown bricks, instead of grey bricks and pieces. [...] LEGO Super Battle Droids... Just to cool...

I bought like 500 of these because the price was so low and that it was the first set with Battle Droids in it for years. I sort of got bored building it because after abou the 4th I could memorize the instructions from my head. But I was annoyed when they had to hold there blasters sideways because I got the big MTT set and the droids had strait arms. Also the set does play pretty fun and it's durable too!!

5 out of 5 stars boxes and instructions   June 22, 2008

You've got to be careful when looking at boxes. They make it look easy to build. Sometimes it is, sometimes it's not. Also, look at instructions carefully, they may look easy, but could be hard. It was hard to do the hatch, and I had to ask my mom to help. I also made an adjustment to the front. But hey, it worked out all okay, and that's what matters, right? That said, I think it's a cool set. It comes with a droid speeder, with some clear bricks because they're not supposed to be there. There is a hatch, witch I told you about, that keeps the droid on lookout. The lightsaber peice(x4)is in here.(I also saw it in Indy one). Super Battle droids,(siver-ish gray), are a nice exclusive. Remember, lookout for pictures on boxes and in instructions. Bye!

Very fun. The speeder is kind of fragile. The transport is a lot more durable.
